Folks are pretty up in arms over the latest coronavirus (Covid-19), and until we have more accurate information I can’t blame them. Some people are heading to the hospital at the first sign of any cold-like symptoms. This cootie is a tricky one as infected carriers of the virus can be asymptomatic and contagious for quite a while. This means they feel great and go about their normal life infecting others. The team at the Gates Foundation have funded a project that will be making coronavirus kits that can be used at home. The kits will return results in 1-2 days and if they get a positive match for SARS-CoV-2/covid-19 they will let local heal officials know as well. Fingers crossed this home test kit arrives soon.
