Self-driving vehicles are definitely going to be a part of our future. As we age we will wax nostalgic about the days when we actually had to shift gears, touch a steering wheel, brake, and accelerate. There will be some good and bad with these changes. Like it, or not, they are coming.
A large test was recently completed in Europe with semi-trucks. A convoy of large trucks took an autonomous road trip across Europe. The self-driving semi-trucks were from six different manufacturers. The pace and route was set by a driver in the lead vehicle, the rest of the trucks followed on their own.
