Flexible EO Smart Connecting Car 2. Yep, that is the name. Horrible right? More about that later.
Well, outside of the awful name, this little car has some pretty cool features. For example, the Flexible EO Smart Connecting Car 2 can change shape and can turn its independently-powered wheels up to 90-degrees. This mean the car can turn on a dime and drive sideways for some pretty cool parking tricks.
More about the name. Apparently the “connecting” portion has do with the fact these cars can virtually connected together. Similar to a train. When in this configuration there is one “master” driver and the rest of the vehicles are just along for the ride.
The car is designed by DFKI Robotics Innovation Center in Bremen, Germany. Range is 30-44 miles on a single four-hour charge. Video of this cool little car after the break.
